A driver waiting while an attendant fills his car at a Highveld forecourt at dawn

R500 in the tank.
Before payday.

The card fills up when you are short. Your platform pays you. We collect. R500 out, R550 back, 7 or 14 days.

A tank you can drive on.
Not cash you can spend.

The advance is loaded straight onto your Tesha card as fuel credit. It buys petrol and diesel — nothing else. That is the whole point: the money cannot go anywhere except back into the work that repays it.

R500 an advance.

That is the maximum on any advance taken from 29 August 2026, whatever you earn. One advance at a time.

Any major forecourt.

BP, Shell, Engen, Sasol, Total, Puma, Astron and beyond. No account at the garage, no arrangement with the attendant.

Members only.

The advance comes with the R50-a-month membership. It is not sold on its own, and there is no fee to ask for one.

The whole price,
in one line.

You take R500

loaded on the card as fuel.

The fee R50

ten percent of the advance.

You pay back R550

within 7 or 14 days.

There is no charge to apply, no monthly charge on top, and no penalty that earns us anything. If the price ever changes, it changes for advances taken after you have agreed to it — never for one you are already repaying.

Under the National Credit Act that R50 is made up of interest, an initiation fee and a service fee. Each one is itemised in the pre-agreement statement and quotation you receive before you accept anything. Brown Financial Services (Pty) Ltd trading as Tesha is a registered credit provider, NCRCP21458. Full terms: our terms and conditions.

Collection · the day after payout A driver checking his phone at the wheel in traffic

We get paid
after you do.

Every other lender collects monthly, because every other lender was built for a salary. Yours runs 7 or 14 days, matched to how your platform actually pays. We collect the day after your payout lands, by transfer from the account you nominate. You never have to remember it, and you never queue to settle it.

"We earn when you earn — not when you struggle."

We intend to move collections to an authenticated debit order (DebiCheck). That will not touch your agreement until you have authorised the mandate yourself.

Who can take one.

No payslip. No branch. No sureties. What we do need:

  • You are 18 or older.
  • A South African ID, passport, or asylum seeker permit.
  • A South African bank account in your own name.
  • You are not under debt review or an administration order.
  • You drive on a platform whose payouts we can verify.

The law requires us to run an affordability assessment on every advance, and we can decline one. That is a protection, not an obstacle — an advance you cannot repay is a problem we would be selling you.

Every tank you repay is on the record.

Each settled advance builds a repayment history in your name — the credit record the formal system has never let a gig driver build. It follows you to the next platform, the next city, and the next thing you want to buy.

Since October 2024 this card has loaded more than R2 million of petrol for drivers, and 76 out of every 100 came back for a second tank. None of them were asked for a payslip.
